Advantages and disadvantages to dropping out and getting my GED?

Getting GED

I want to know more about getting a GED. I’m 16 years of age and I get bullied so much in school that I just want to get out and start fresh. Do colleges and jobs consider a GED equal to a High School Diploma? How long does it take to get a GED and what kind of work does it involve? Any other information is appreciated. icon smile Advantages and disadvantages to dropping out and getting my GED? Thanks!

A GED is technically equal to a high school diploma, but it does not strike the college admissions as a person who is responsible.

Bullying sucks. I was bullied for 9 years by the same two guys who I went to school with from kindergarten to graduation. I would recommend that you stay in school, talk to a teacher or adult about the bullying to get them to do something, and get your diploma. Then you can go to college wherever you want and never see your bullies again.

Good luck!
